LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Based on well-founded scientific standards, LEED emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies for site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

Pembroke North is the first multi-family residential building to be registered for LEED-certification in the Philadelphia area. The three buildings have heating and cooling systems that employ heat pumps connected to extensive underground thermal pipe systems for tremendous energy efficiency. Living in harmony with the earth and reducing individual carbon footprints does not mean sacrificing comfort or control – Pembroke North is proof of a new energy paradigm that is responsible as well as luxurious.
