This year on Social Mobility Day the ´óÏó´«Ã½ is proud to celebrate a key milestone – 100 alumni starting Chartered Accounting (CA) training contracts. It’s a big step in our mission to widen access and improve diversity in the profession.
The theme of this year’s is #shiftmindsets - sending a message that social mobility is good for business.
For the years ahead, the accountancy profession needs the brightest minds, from the most diverse of backgrounds and perspectives. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ programme is directly bringing this talent to these challenges.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ supports young people from low-income backgrounds to access careers in accountancy.
In this context it can be hard for talented young people to find opportunities in the profession without existing connections, appropriate encouragement or the means to gain professional experience. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ closes this gap.
We work in partnership with accountancy firms and businesses that share our commitment to social mobility.
Consilium CA, which became part of the Dains Group of Accountancy and Advisory business in early 2025, has partnered with the Foundation to sponsor the Nurturing Talent Programme and identify opportunities for internships and skills development for students on the programme. The partnership has been significant for the firm.
